506th Association Mentoring Roster

Mentoring Assistance to Younger Currahees Leaving the Army

For any Currahee who is either established in his career or retired . . . from the ABG Currahees of the 1950s/1960s through to Currahees of the 1980s/1990s/2000s, now is the time for us to reach out to our younger Currahee veterans as they leave the Army and assist them with their new civilian professional careers. We have had a wide range of professional careers . . . law enforcement (federal, state, local), education and teaching (universities, colleges, high schools, trade schools, etc), first responders (fire fighters, police, emergency planners, etc), government service (federal, state, local), and a wide range of businesses (construction, trucking, technology, engineering, sales, marketing, management etc.). Many of these and other professions may be the choice of younger Currahees, and we should share our experiences and networking to get them off to a good start, transferring our knowledge and helping them to understand the expectations of their chosen professional.

To those wishing to use this mentoring networking database, please contact directly the Currahee with the professional career background that might interest you. Please feel free to reach to more than one if you have interest in more than one area. When you call and make contact, ask about their professional education, how they got started in their profession, what continuing education was needed throughout their career, what were some of their challenges and how did they handle these. Please know that the Currahee mentors genuinely want to help you get started and want to stay in touch with you and assist as needed as you progress in your own career.

Contact 506th Association President COL(R) Bob Seitz if you want to be added to the 506th Association Mentoring Roster.
