Currahee Battle Flags were presented by the 506th
Association to all 30 companies/troops/batteries, and to the brigade and all battalion/squadron headquarters of the entire 4th Brigade Combat Team, 506th Infantry, for their 2010-2011 deployment to Afghanistan. 506th Association President Don Thies (B Co, 2nd BN, 506th, 1970-1971) recruited a group of Currahee veteran volunteers to present these flags after the July 27, 2010 Color Casing Ceremony at Fort Campbell. |
