CURRAHEES WHO DIED IN SERVICE AND TRAINING. THEIR NAMES MAY BE LOST TO THE AGES, BUT THE SACRIFICE THEY MADE IS REMEMBERED BY THOSE WHO SERVED WITH THEM. |

A 10-inch pedestal was placed under the bronze "Destiny" statue. Artist Eugene Morelli wanted this eagle to be higher than his bronze "Majesty" statue, so that it looked like the "Destiny" eagle was coming in for a landing. |
Donald Thies (B Co, 2nd BN, 506th,
1970-1971) donated both the bronze "Destiny" statue and the additional 10-inch pedestal. |
