Help for a Wounded Soldier
SPC Ryan Price
D Company, 2nd BN, 506th
WIA May 7, 2008

SPC Ryan Price was severely wounded on 5/7/08 while serving
in Afghanistan. He lost both legs and incurred other injuries.

The addition of a room for Ryan onto the family home in Nuevo,
CA
has been COMPLETED (see photos below).

While Ryan is living with his parents, only a percentage of his
VA Housing Grant is available to him for his needs. This
amount was too small to cover the cost of the room addition
(and also would be subtracted from the total VA Housing
Grant funds available to Ryan), so the family chose to build
this addition with private funds and save Ryan's entire VA
Housing Grant for when he needs to purchase his own home
in the future.

Fund Raising:

(1) In February 2009, the 506th Association awarded a Widows, Orphans, and Wounded Soldiers Fund grant to the family of SPC Ryan Price to help cover the cost of adding a room for Ryan onto the family home in Nuevo, CA.

(2) The 506th Association donated various items from its Quartermaster sales inventory for an August 16, 2009, fundraising raffle in Norco, CA.
