Wahlberg and Lipton
(L-R): Actor Donnie Wahlberg, who played C. Carwood Lipton in the HBO mini-series.
During the filming of Band of Brothers, Donnie would call Carwood from England
several times a week to tell him what was being filmed the next day or the next several
days in order to find out Carwood's thoughts and feelings on the events that the scenes
depicted.

After Carwood passed away on December 16, 2001, Donnie sent the Lipton family
the dog tags with Carwood's name on them that had been used in the filming of the
mini-series.
