Barracks at Fort Benning

Barracks buildings, probably at Fort Benning, GA. Some soldiers are walking across
the street, and others are sitting against the barracks building on the right

Pershing and Webb
(L-R): SGT William Pershing (Rocket Launchers) and SGT Robert R. Webb, Sr.,
probably at Camp Mackall, NC, since Webb is wearing the parachutist badge
that he would have earned when the 506th PIR completed paratrooper training at
Fort Benning in January 1943. Webb is also wearing a 101st Airborne Division
shoulder patch
, which means the photo was taken after June 1, 1943, the date
that the 506th PIR was first assigned to the 101st Division.

Assembling at Fort Bragg
Based on the assembly of the men, and the risers, the telephone
poles and barracks in the background, this could be the day that
3rd Battalion, 506th PIR photos were taken at Fort Bragg, NC.
